Project - Harbour Heights, Nerul

This interior design project at Harbour Heights, Nerul tells a story about a family that knows who they are. The public spaces carry the warmth of tradition, while the private spaces are clean, calm, and thoroughly contemporary. The two worlds sit side by side without any tension. The living room is the heart of it. Dark wood carved chairs with teal upholstery are arranged around a Persian rug on a polished marble floor. A brass sputnik chandelier hangs above, flanked by wall sconces. What really defines the room though is the art: a large horizontal Pattachitra painting hangs above the sofa, and an entire wall is given over to a curated grouping of traditional Indian works, including a detailed vertical Pattachitra, a circular mandala painting, and a smaller folk piece, all lit by a brass picture light. This isn't decoration, it's a collection. The dining area carries the same warmth. A solid wood table with six matching chairs sits below a drum pendant, with a large wooden crockery unit behind it. More traditional artwork, a brass lamp, and a carved wooden mask complete the room. The bedroom is where the mood shifts. A vertical channel-tufted headboard in cream, a deep indigo block-print bedspread, brass disc wall sconces, and a warm parquet floor. A built-in window seat catches the light beautifully. Quiet and restful. The modular kitchen brings a cheerful surprise: mint green high-gloss cabinets in a U-shaped layout, bright and breezy, with tambour roller shutters adding a practical touch. The bathroom rounds it off with large-format grey marble tiles, a walk-in shower, and oval backlit niches glowing a cool blue, giving it a spa-like quality.
